SIMA College Commitments Rise

SIMA student-athletes are continuing to decide their college fate as five additional international soccer players have committed to playing at the collegiate level. With commitments from all different divisions, each student-athlete is able to attend the college of their choice.

Joao Freire has committed to Knox College in Galesburg, Illinois. Joao has been a member of the SIMA program and a student at Montverde Academy for four years and has also been successful on the MVA powerlifting team winning a National Championship title. The Brazilian earned SIMA Challenge Cup MVP honors for week three and will be joining the NCAA Division three Prairie Fire roster as a goalkeeper in the fall.

Jeremy Di Lallo has committed to the University of Central Florida in Orlando, Florida. Jeremy has been a member of the SIMA program and a student at Montverde Academy for two years. He has participated on both the SIMA Gold team and the Orlando City Development Academy under 19 team that is currently holding a national top ranking. Jeremy earned Summa Cum Laude Honor Roll recognition in the first academic quarter of his senior year and Magna Cum Laude recognition in his second and third quarters. The Canadian will be joining the NCAA Division one Knights roster as a winger in the fall.

Arthur Paes has committed to the Notre Dame College of Ohio in South Euclid, Ohio. Arthur has been a member of the SIMA program and a student at Montverde Academy for two years and has earned Summa Cum Laude Honor roll recognition every academic quarter of his senior year to mark. The Brazilian right back looks to join the NCAA Division two Falcon roster in the fall.

Daniel Tregansin has committed to the Notre Dame College of Ohio in South Euclid, Ohio. Daniel has been a member of the SIMA program and a student at Montverde Academy for two years and has earned Magna Cum Laude Honor Roll recognition for his first, second, and third quarters of his senior year. The Brazilian winger will be joining the NCAA Division two Falcon roster in the fall.  

Kameron Lacey has committed to University of North Carolina Charlotte in Charlotte, North Carolina. Kameron has been a member of the SIMA program and a student at Montverde Academy for one year. During that time Kameron has had the opportunity to train with the Jamaica U20 National Team in November 2018. He has also played with the Orlando City Development Academy U19 team this past season. The Jamaican/American will be joining the NCAA Division one Charlotte 49ers roster in the fall.
