Graduation day has past Montverde Academy and the SIMA program but recent 2019 graduates are continuing to make their college decisions as they prepare for their next life and career steps. Five additional seniors and post graduate students have selected their next destination as a place to further their academic and athletic careers ranging from local institutions to colleges across the country.

Gabriel Simoneau has committed to Jacksonville University in Jacksonville, Florida. Gabriel has been a member of the SIMA program and a student at Montverde Academy for two years and has earned Summa Cum Laude Honor Roll recognition for all three academic quarters of his senior year. The Canadian defender will join the NCAA Division I Dolphins roster in the fall.

Nathan Simeon has committed to the University of San Francisco in San Francisco, California. Nathan has been a member of the SIMA program and a student at Montverde Academy for one year and has earned Summa Cum Laude Honor Roll recognition for all three academic quarters while playing his post graduate year on the Orlando City B team. The Canadian defender will join the NCAA Division I Dons roster in the fall.

Gabe Sitler has committed to Marshall University in Huntington, West Virginia. Gabe has been a member of the SIMA program and a student at Montverde Academy for three years and has earned Summa Cum Laude Honor Roll recognition for all three quarters of his senior year while holding a top leadership role as a Senior Prefect. The American goalkeeper will join the NCAA DII Herd roster with two fellow SIMA teammates in the fall.

Jevon Forbes has committed to Elizabethtown College in Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania. Jevon has been a member of the SIMA program and a student at Montverde Academy for one year and earned Magna Cum Laude Honor Roll recognition for the third academic quarter of his post graduate year. The Cayman Island winger will join the NCAA Division III Blue Jays roster in the fall.

Joao Cavalcanti has committed to Iowa Lakes Community College in Spencer, Iowa. Joao has been a member of the SIMA program and a student at Montverde Academy for two years and has earned Cum Laude and Magna Cum Laude Honor Roll Recognition for his second and third academic quarters respectively. The Brazilian winger will join the NJCAA Lakers roster in the fall.

With several more college decisions to come from the Montverde Academy Class of 2019, there will be even more recent SIMA alumni to cheer for in the college soccer arena. The SIMA program is always proud of the hard work and dedication it takes to advance to the next level and we cannot wait to watch these young men compete in the upcoming season.
