The Winter High School All-American awards are compiled by TopDrawerSoccer with consultation with coaches and media members from around the country.

The All-America package is the culmination of months of research and evaluation of the top high school-playing talent in the nation. While high school soccer is offered in the fall, winter or spring -- depending on the state -- TopDrawerSoccer waits until after the school year is complete to release its All-America, All-Region and state All-Stars.  Of course, this was no ordinary school year. The COVID-19 outbreak and ensuing pandemic brought high school sports to a sudden stop in March. TDS froze its winter rankings when the shutdown occurred.

Two Montverde Academy and SIMA participants were chosen to the highest award. Defender Edward Mensah and Gatorade Player of the Year Santa Ihara are part of the All-American starting eleven.

Forward John Atem Kato joined them in the Florida North All-Region team while the following student-athletes also made the State Stars list: Goalkeeper Mason Shale; Defenders Joao Pedro, Vinicius Belon, Chadi Mayati, Richard Lapointe; Midfielders Ricardo Rego, Olivier Correa, Misei Yoshizawa; Forwards Felipe Rodrigues, Lucas Valois and Caue Novaes.

Congratulations on your performance, it is being noticed! For MVA underclassmen keep working hard in the SIMA program and best of success to the seniors in your future commitments.
