SIMA's Work On and Off the Field

The SIMA student athletes that were involved in the program for the 2021-22 season left with them some outstanding statistics not only on the field but also off the field.

With a college acceptance rate of 100%, the 2021-22 SIMA program included 46 seniors and 6 post-graduate students. On the field,  among them were 16 NCAA Division I commits, 10 NCAA Division II commits, and 9 NCAA Division III commits adding to the 450+ collegiate student athletes since 2011.  Off the field, there were 6 Senior prefects, 1 Salutatorian, and more than 2500+ hours of community service provided.

A great success story on the field was the one of Ali Fadal, who signed his first professional contract for well-renowned La Liga side Valencia FC straight out of the SIMA program. Fadal is one of the newest of the SIMA Alumni to play at the professional level (Number 57). So far the count is at 60 players for our SIMA Alumni in the Pros.  For more on that visit https://mvasports.com/news/2022/7/1/simas-ali-fadal-signs-contract-to-play-in-europe-for-valencia-cf.aspx

The two success stories academically from the SIMA program are those of Sebastian Ressler and Pavlos Tentomas who apart from both being on the 2021-22 Student Advisory Committee have been accepted into Ivy League schools, Cornell and Georgetown respectively. Tentomas also received the presitigious Ray Goodgame Outstanding Student Leader Award.
