Mbacke Fall made the move to Spanish side Villarreal CF during the August  transfer window after leaving LAFC on loan for one year. Since arriving to Spain, Fall has made 16 appearances for the club's affiliate La Liga 2 side, Villarreal B, where he has scored two goals and five recorded clean sheets.

Fall made his first team debut late last year in Villarreal's 9-0 Copa del Rey victory over Santa Amalia, but now has made his first La Liga appearance for the club! Fall went in at the 60th minute of the match to replace Cuenca and showed why deserved to be there. The Senegalese defender recovered 4 balls in his 30 minutes played! Villarreal was deadlocked with Girona at 0-0 until the 90th minute when Villarreal won themselves a crucial PK. Club captain Parejo missed it and the dramatics continued down at the other end! Girona seemed to have stolen the match in the late stages when they scored but VAR ruled the goal offsides. Then, in the last play of the game a corner for Villarreal turned into another PK. Parejo stepped up again but this time buried it to win it for the "Yellow Submarine". 

A very successful and memorable moment for sure for the young defender!
