SIMA in the Community

The Soccer Institute at Montverde Academy (SIMA) has teamed up with organizations throughout the Orlando area to participate in initiatives that better the community. SIMA athletes and coaches dedicate their time and energy to community service because they see the importance in developing well-rounded athletes.

On Wednesday, October 3, SIMA and the Orlando City Soccer Club volunteered with the Orlando Union Rescue Mission and Project Hope to help prepare a new living space for homeless individuals trying to get back on their feet. SIMA athletes learned the value of working hard for others while completing manual labor.

On Saturday, October 6, SIMA hosted Dreamplex on the Cruyff Court where athletes were partnered up with their special needs buddies and taught them the basics of soccer. Despite SIMA athletes giving instruction, they were the ones that learned the most. They learned the value of having a positive outlook on life and true compassion for others.

SIMA looks forward to developing more of a helping hand in the community to foster an environment that teaches athletes the value of their hard work, giving back to others and creating lasting relationships in the community. We are thankful for our community partners who allow our boys the opportunity to grow in new ways.
