Montverde Academy Soccer Announces 2018-19 Season

The Montverde Academy (MVA) boys soccer team recently announced their 2018-19 season schedule. They open their season with the Melbourne Invitational playing both Westshore and Melbourne High School on Nov. 6-8. 

The Eagles face a challenging line up this season with tough competition coming from teams across the state including a full slate of home games listed below.

Nov. 19 Haines City

Nov. 26 Lake Minneola High School

Nov. 29 Buchholz High School

Dec. 17 South Lake High School

Jan. 11 Citrus High School

Jan. 23 Ocoee High School

The Montverde Academy boys varsity soccer program, under Head Coach Mike Potempa, have been named the National Champions for eight consecutive seasons holding the longest unbeaten streak in the history of boys varsity high school soccer in the United States. To date, they currently hold the nation's longest unbeaten record now standing at 179 wins, 0 losses, and 11 draws dating back to October 29, 2010.

Under Potempa, the Montverde Academy boys soccer program has also witnessed over 150 student athletes graduate and go on to garner athletic and academic scholarships to colleges and universities across the country.

Later in the season, the boys look to win the Montverde Academy Soccer Tournament (MAST) for the eighth consecutive year in a row, staring January 16 and running through January 19.
