SIMA Pre-Academy

The SIMA Pre-Academy Training Program is designed for children aged U6 to U12. For the 2022-23 season starting August 2022, this will be boys and girls born between 2011 and 2017.

Players in this program follow the SIMA Long Term Player Development plan. It focuses on the individual development of each player with age-appropriate games and drills.

Coaches look to develop their sportsmanship values, technical and motor skills through a pedagogical approach based on positive feedback and a safe learning environment.

Each age group has a limited number of participants selected to ensure the quality of the training sessions, and features a low player-to-coach ratio. Current and former SIMA Student-Athletes volunteer as assistants.

Training sessions are held at Montverde Academy from 6PM.

SIMA Pre-Academy teams starting in U9 age are set to participate in Central Florida Regional leagues and tournaments. We also organize the DO League events for younger participants and those who are starting to discover soccer.

The leagues are based on a regional based schedule that allows an age-appropriate balance between family, school and athletics.

Games will be a part of the training process in which the main objective is to optimize the abilities of our student athletes.
